Emerson's Department of Marketing Communication has on-campus graduate degrees in Integrated Marketing Communication and Global Marketing Communication & Advertising, as well as online degree in Digital Marketing and Data Analytics. Starting in the 2018–19 academic year, the GMCA and IMC programs were merged into a single MA program in Strategic Marketing Communication.
In 2014 Emerson was named #5 on the list of top 10 U.S. colleges to get a marketing degree published by USA Today. It was ranked #14 of 47 in 2018 Best Master's of Marketing Programs ranking by TFE Times, and #15 of 416 in 2019 Best Marketing Colleges in the U.S. ranking by College Factual.
