U.S. News & World Report classifies its selectivity as "more selective." In its 2018 edition of "America's Best Colleges", Otterbein was ranked #19 (tie) in the "Regional Universities (Midwest)" category, #12 (tie) in the "Best Colleges for Veterans" category, and #35 in the "Best Value Schools" category by U.S. News & World Report. Schools are ranked according to their performance across a set of widely accepted indicators of excellence.
