Engineering at UM–Dearborn dates to its first academic year, it was reorganized as the School of Engineering in June 1973, and it was renamed the College of Engineering and Computer Science in March 1998. The College of Engineering and Computer Science is home to eleven undergraduate degree programs and twelve graduate degree programs, including six doctoral programs (four Ph.D. and two D.Eng.), housed in CIS, ECE, ME, IMSE departments and college Interdisciplinary Programs.
