The athletics program fields men's intercollegiate teams in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, and golf and women's teams in basketball, beach volleyball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track, indoor volleyball, and competition cheerleading. All intercollegiate sports are affiliated with NCAA Division I as a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN). The football team plays in the United Athletic Conference (UAC), currently a football-only alliance between the ASUN and Western Athletic Conference (WAC). In 2026, the UAC will become an all-sports conference as a rebranded WAC, with West Georgia joining the expanded UAC.
