institution in the state of California on December 9, 2004, by the Bureau for Private Post-Secondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE). Immediately following approval by the BPPVE, Providence Christian College began the process of seeking eligibility by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The college is also a member of IAPCHE: the International Association for the Promotion of Christian Higher Education.
== Facilities ==
The primary building of the new campus in Old Town Pasadena is Witherspoon Hall. Originally built in 1928, the building served as the First Congregational Church of Pasadena (United Church of Christ) until the church sold the property in February 2018. Providence Christian College moved into that building in January 2019. Witherspoon Hall serves as the chapel, classroom space, and library for the college.
