Police Department until 2010, is a full DOD law enforcement agency. It is composed of both DoD Department of Navy Civilian Police, and Navy Masters-at-Arms who are responsible for policing the U.S. Naval Academy complex. They enforce Maryland, federal and military law and local instructions, offer assistance to those in need, and provide a visible deterrent for criminal activity.

Nimitz Library is the main library for the Annapolis Area Naval Complex, located at the United States Naval Academy campus in Maryland, United States. The academy's first library was organized in 1845. The current library building was opened in 1973. The building architects were John Carl Warnecke and Associates, who also designed Michelson Hall and Chauvenet Hall, in partnership with George M. Ewing Company. As of 2017, the library had roughly 300,000 patron visits annually. A major renovation of the ground floor of the building was completed in August 2021.
