Opened in April 2024, the district spans 18 acres and features over 1.8 million square feet of laboratory and office space, 500 residential units, and 25,000 square feet of retail area. Due to eventually be connected to the main campus by a pedestrian bridge, Science Square is the starting point for a multi-phase project designed to lure industry research partners closer to the campus. One of its central components is Science Square Labs, a 13-story tower designed to accommodate wet and dry laboratories for academia, industry, and startups.
