Campus security is enforced by the University of Oregon Police Department.
The University of Oregon appeared in the documentary The Hunting Ground after allowing three basketball players accused of sexual assault to play in an NCAA Tournament. The documentary focuses on campus rape in higher education institutions in the United States.
In 2018 there were 8 rapes reported on campus. In 2018 there were 364 drug abuse violations and 894 liquor law violations on campus.
