Penn's Palestra is home gym of the Penn Quakers men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams, wrestling team, Philadelphia Big Five basketball, and other high school and college sporting events, and is located mere yards from Franklin Field. The Palestra has been called "the most important building in the history of college basketball" and "changed the entire history of the sport for which it was built". The Palestra has hosted more NCAA Tournament basketball games than any other facility.
