Washington University has over 400 undergraduate student organizations on campus. Most receive funding by the Washington University Student Union, which, as of Fiscal Year 2024 has an annual budget of $4.2 million. The Student Union sponsors major campus programs including WILD and distributes free copies of The New York Times, USA Today, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch through The Collegiate Readership Program.
Washington University has 26 recognized chapters of fraternities and sororities.
