ARU announced the establishment of the Centre of Media, Arts & Creative Technologies (MACT), a new interdisciplinary research initiative focused on exploring critical cultural and digital challenges of the contemporary era.
The Centre unites ARU’s scholars, filmmakers, and artists within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences to examine pressing issues such as disinformation, data doubles, and digital abuse. Its mission is to enhance public understanding of modern media ecosystems and to develop strategies that help individuals and communities navigate increasingly complex digital environments.
MACT aims to foster collaboration across creative disciplines, integrating academic research with practical and artistic innovation. Through partnerships, exhibitions, and applied research projects, the Centre seeks to address the social and ethical implications of emerging technologies while promoting critical media literacy and creative resilience in the digital age.

The Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Social Care comprises four schools: the School of Allied Health and Social Care, the School of Medicine, the School of Midwifery and Community Health, and the School of Nursing.
